Preschoolers
Small group instruction in pre-reading, math skills, and science are taught thru hands on interaction. An example of hands on learning might be a trip to the supermarket, allowing children to select items, another child to scan the items, and another child to help bag the items, this teaches reading, problem solving and following directions, while incorporating learning skills with social skills. Block play, dramatic play, cooking, trips to a museum, a fire station, or pet store is part of the process of learning associated with play. Dancing, musical chairs, singing, story time, exercise programs, as well as outside play are all a mainstay.
Arts and crafts are a very big part of our curriculum here for preschoolers as well as all ages! We are excited and proud as we watch the progress and success of our preschoolers, as they learn and grow. When they graduate and leave for public school we know we have done the very best to give them the tools they need to succeed.
